Not just built by business, but carved by character.

Chennai now stands as a magnanimous metropolis towering over Tamil Nadu as its proud capital. But in my days, it was madras, a city well acquainted with workers, dreamers, and those who aspired to change its name to chennai and make something of themselves.

The city that is applauded for its cultural heritage and temple architecture always stayed close to its roots. Now, you find almost every young teen in chennai speaking fluent english, but that wasn't the case back in my days.

This is about when I was going to pay my fees for my college admissions, or more like was 'supposed to'. It was a hot summer day, just like most days in madras; you couldn't expect much due to the frequent power outages. I stood in a queue to pay my fees, sporting an airy red t-shirt and grey shorts. It was no surprise that the queue was as long as it was; loyola college was one of the most esteemed institutions, and everyone wanted their kids to get in.

The campus was nothing out of the ordinary; it could house a decent number of students, had excellent faculty, and produced scholars one after another. The pre-destined fate that my father had chosen for me was to be an engineer. So, here i was in this queue, which hadn't moved an inch since i began this tale.

I come from a humble home where I learned to share and live happily with what we had. I had two brothers. My mother, Smt. Sundar Bai, was who you would call a typical indian mom, always caring and making the best food our tongues would ever taste. My father, Shri Shankar Lal Jain, built himself from scratch and clawed out of lohi, near yavatmal in maharashtra, with perseverance and hard work. Abhaya Srisrimal Jain, second son of Late. Shri Sankarlal Jain and Late Smt. Sundarbai, was born on 23rd. December 1953 in Chennai.

His father migrated from Rajasthan to Chennaiin early 20th century and made his business in Chennai and rose to be an eminent business man and founder SHASUN group(First 3 letters of father and mother name).

Hollywood Connections – Visual Effects & Animation

His venture into visual effects and animation for movies attracted Hollywood filmmakers.
Visual effects for blockbuster movies like Spiderman series, Men In Black II & III, I Am Legend, and Hancock were done in his studio in Chennai.
This business was later sold to Sony Pictures Imageworks, USA.

His elder son, Mr. Mayur Abhaya, Managing Director & CEO of LifeCell, is married to Mrs. Taru, and they have two sons, Arham and Ruhan.

His younger son, Mr. Deepak Abhaya, Managing Director of VPatrol, is married to Mrs. Vibha, and they have two sons, Aadit and Vivaan.
